activities planned at TSU There’s No Place Like Home will be the theme for homecoming week activities at Troy State University, which will begin on Oct. 12 and lead up through the football game on Oct. 18 against Florida International University. We hope there will be extra excitement surrounding the football game this year, as many of our alumni will get their first look at our beautifully renovated stadium,” Faith Ward, Director of Alumni Affairs, said. The homecoming parade, set for 10 a.m. on Oct. 18 through the streets of downtown Troy, and crowning of the homecoming queen during the pre-game activities, beginning at 1:30 p.m. also will be a part of homecoming Saturday. Another event that has become a part of the homecoming tradition, the World War II veterans reunion, will be held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Holiday Inn. The WWII reunion continues to grow each year as veterans bring their families and friends to the festivities,” Ward said.
