   Band Day at TSU scheduled for September 20
   Troy State University’s “Sound of the South” Marching Band will join forces with bands from 31 high schools and one middle school Saturday, Sept. 20, for its halftime performance at the TSU-Southeastern Louisiana University football game.
   The show will be the culmination of the band program’s fifth annual Band Day activities, according to Ralph Ford, Director of Bands at TSU. More than 2,300 musicians will unite to perform “My Home’s in Alabama” and “Domino,” a song Van Morrison took to number nine on the pop music charts in 1970.
   The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in Troy. For tickets call 1-877-TSU-TICS.
   Bands scheduled to participate are Brantley High School, Cairo (Ga.) High School, Charles Henderson High School and Charles Henderson Middle School of Troy, Clarke County High School, Cottondale (Fla.) High School, Elba High School, Elmore County High School, Escambia County High School, Eufaula High School, Flomaton High School, Florala High School, Frisco City High School, Geneva High School, Georgiana High School, Goshen High School, Headland High School, Highland Home High School, Kendrick (Ga.) High School, Lee-Scott Academy, Notasulga High School, Opp High School, Prattville High School, Red Level High School, Reeltown High School, Robert E. Lee High School, Slocomb High School, Thomasville High School, Verbena High School, Vernon (Fla.) High School, Vincent High School and Zion Chapel High School.
