'Sound of the South' auxillary auditions scheduled

    The “Sound of the South” Marching Band at Troy State University has planned auditions for auxiliary members for April 16-17, according to Ralph Ford , Director of Bands.
   The band will audition members for majorettes, feature twirlers, drum line, dance line and color guard. Contestants may audition for more than one group. The auditions are required for returning members of these groups as well as new members.
   Cost for auditioning for each ensemble is $10. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Friday, April 16, at John M. Long Hall Band Room for drum line and color guard. Rehearsal will continue Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m. , followed by auditions at 9:30 a.m.
   For majorettes, feature twirlers and dance line, registration starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 17 at Long Hall. Auditions will begin at 9:30 a.m.
