Troy University School of Music appoints new Gospel Choir Director

   Lewis Webb has been named Gospel Choir Director for Troy University . Webb is a graduate student at Troy working on his master’s degree in vocal music education.
   A graduate of Thomas Edison College , Webb has been the music teacher for the last seven years at Bethany Christian Academy in Montgomery . Webb also serves as music director at Hutchison Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery .
   “I am pleased and excited to have Lewis on board with the Gospel Choir,” Paul McGahie, director of choral music and associate professor of the John M. Long School of Music, said. “He has the experience and the knowledge to give our talented students excellent musical leadership.”
   “Lewis Webb is active in gospel music as choir director, pianist, singer, and member of a professional gospel ensemble,” McGahie said. “His diverse experience will be a plus for our students”
