February 5, 2004 Black History Month events scheduled at Troy State University Several Troy State University organizations are planning events throughout February to commemorate Black History Month. The month's events will begin with a voter registration drive sponsored by the TSU chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in conjunction with the TSU Federation of Democratic Women on Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bibb Graves Hall, McCartha Hall, the Math and Science Complex, the Trojan Center and Stewart Dining Hall on the TSU Campus. The NAACP is also sponsoring a raffle and the winners will receive a free trip to the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery. Twenty seats are available and university excuses will be provided for student winners. Tickets will be available for $1 in the Trojan Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Phi Beta Sigma and the Student Government Association will sponsor a step show in Claudia Crosby Theater at 7 p.m. Feb. 19. Tickets are available for $5 in advance and $7 at the door and the event is open to the public. A gospel concert is also scheduled for Feb. 22 at Claudia Crosby Theater on the TSU Campus. It will begin at 7 p.m. Events will conclude with Apollo Night, sponsored by the TSU
National Association of Black Journalists, to be held Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. in the
Trojan Center Ballrooms. Advance tickets are available for $3 with a TSU ID,
and student tickets will be $5 at the door. Tickets for the general public will
be $7 at the door. Proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society's Relay for
