Troy State University will play host to higher education
officials from the People's Republic of China Feb. 17-18, including
representatives from universities that are partners with TSU in a dual-degree
program.
The delegation will tour the TSU campus and the city of Troy
, and will meet with TSU administrators and Chinese students currently enrolled
in the 1-2-1 program.
The program, officially called the 1-2-1 Sino-American Educational
Strategies Program, allows students from partner Chinese universities to study
their first year in China , spend their sophomore and junior years in Troy and
then return home to China to complete their degree.
Members of the Chinese delegation scheduled to visit TSU are
Wu Zaofeng, Deputy Secretary General of the China Education Association for International
Exchange; Yun Fujun, Vice President of Inner Mongolian Polytechnic University;
Xiang Benchun, President of Xinjiang Shihezi University; Cai Wenbo, Director
of Xinjiang Shihezi University; Chen Bangjie, President of Hunan Agricultural
University; Chen Ximu, President of the College of Forestry, South China Agricultural
University; Wu Yi, Vice Director of the Office of Academic Degree Committee of
State Council; Zong Wa, Director of the China Center for International Education
Exchange; and Sufei Li, Director of Education Credential Evaluation for the Knowledge
Company.
