Eva Green Appreciation Day Set for Monday, Feb. 16
The faculty of Troy State University 's Department of Art and Design has declared Monday, Feb. 16, as Eva Green Appreciation Day.
Green is the department secretary and has served in that capacity for 26 years. She has served TSU with distinction for more than 28 years.
“She has served with loyalty and dedication, and is known to exemplify every positive trait to be found in an indispensable employee,” said Ed Noriega, a professor in the Department of Art and Design. “Ms. Eva has truly become the face and the voice of her department.”
A resident of Troy , Green is an active member of her church, community and city. She has also served as the director for Alabama Art. According to Green, her most important role by far has been that of mother to her two sons, Rod and Will.
The Department of Art and Design has planned a variety of activities to commemorate this special day, beginning with coffee and muffins at 9 a.m. followed by a covered dish luncheon at noon in Malone Hall. Events are open to everyone.
“Bring a dish and say ‘Thanks, Eva' for a job well done,” Noriega said. “We encourage everyone to stop by anytime during the day to show appreciation, friendship and gratitude to this very special person.”
Visitors will be encouraged to make art for Green's art portfolio. Materials will be provided for this project.
For further information, please call Ed Noriega at 670-3393 or email enoriega@troy.edu .
