Russian professor to visit Troy and Dothan for lectures
   Troy State University will play host to Dr. Oleg Naumenko, a professor from Moscow State University , Feb. 18-25, who will deliver several lectures on Russian political history and economics.
   The public is invited to attend these lectures, according to Dr. Allen Dennis , Chair of the Department of History at TSU.
   “We are honored that Dr. Naumenko is choosing to visit Troy State University on his first trip to the United States ,” Dr. Dennis said. “ Troy State University has a track record of bringing in outstanding speakers and lecturers with international backgrounds.”
    Dr. Dennis added that Dr. Naumenko was invited to TSU after Dr. Doug Hawkins of Troy , president pro tempore of the TSU board of Trustees, heard him give a lecture on a Russian river cruise.
    Dr. Naumenko is scheduled to deliver three lectures in Troy Feb. 18-20, and two lectures at Troy State University Dothan Feb 23 and 25. All three events in Troy will be held in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor. The Wednesday, Feb. 18 event will begin at 7 p.m. , while the Feb. 19-20 events are scheduled for 2 p.m.
    In Dothan , Dr. Naumenko is scheduled to speak at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 and 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 in Malone Hall.
