TSU Student, Alumnus competing for “Dream Job” on ESPN
Troy State University student and alumnus, Alvin Williams, has been selected to compete on ESPN's reality series “Dream Job” for a one-year contract to anchor ESPN's SportsCenter.
Williams attends Troy State University Montgomery where he is on schedule to receive his second degree in May. He lives in Montgomery with his wife and two daughters and is currently employed in retail management.
Williams was chosen from among 33,000 entrants to fill the Wendy's Wild Card spot on the show.
“It's great,” Williams said. “I've always said those guys have the best job in the world. They get to talk about sports all day long and get paid for it. I'm really excited about this opportunity.”
The show premiered Feb. 22 and the first contestant was voted off the show. Each week one to two contestants will be voted off until the final episode, which is scheduled to air March 28, when the winner will be selected.
Williams will make his debut on the show Sunday, Feb. 29 at 9 p.m. CST.
