Agboatwala named director of Auxillary Services at Troy University

   Sohail A. Agboatwala, former Academic Advisor in the Department of Athletics, has been named the new director of Auxiliary Services for Troy University . Agboatwala has been in Troy University ’s athletics department since 1991.
   “This opportunity presented itself and I thought it was a good fit for my background,” said Agboatwala of the position. “I want to take what we have in Auxiliary Services and make it user- and student-friendly.”
   Agboatwala said that the first order of business will be to fully integrate the Troy University student I.D. cards into the system. As the university moves toward becoming “ One Great University ” the new student I.D. cards will be acceptable at all campuses.
   Agboatwala is a native of Bombay , India and a 1991 graduate of Troy University with a degree in economics. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from TROY in 1994. His first job at Troy University came as the football program’s academic coordinator and as an administrative assistant to head Coach Larry Blakeney.
   Abgoatwala recently graduated from the NCAA Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males, which prepares diverse leaders through a 12-month leadership training and skills development experience. He also coordinates football travel and the Troy University Football Review with Head Coach Larry Blakeney, which runs each Sunday during football season.
   Agboatwala is married to the former Cissy Debray. The couple lives in Troy with their children, Mary Thomas and Zach.
