Carnival added to TSU reunion weekend and Irish Week festivities
   A new event will commence the fourth annual Irish Week Celebration sponsored by the Office of Alumni Affairs at Troy State University .
    The Irish Week Carnival will be Friday, March 12 from 5-9 p.m. at the TSU Movie Gallery Veteran's Memorial Stadium.
    The event is free to the public and will feature games for children and a moonwalk sponsored by the TSU Panhellenic Association. There will be food and craft vendors on hand.
    The TSU rodeo team will lend its mechanical bull for calf roping by attendees and the Army National Guard will have its rock wall at the event.
    Following the carnival, the movie “ School of Rock ” featuring Jack Black will be shown at 6:30 and 9 p.m. on the ProStar video scoreboard at the stadium. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair or sit in the end-zone seats at the stadium.
    “We are looking forward to a night of fun at the carnival,” said Dawn Railey , Director of Development at TSU, who is organizing the event. “We hope the entire community will join us for this family-oriented activity.”

    The carnival will kick off several days of Irish-themed activities to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at TSU. The carnival will also be the first major event of Alumni and Friends Reunion Weekend at TSU.
