May 17, 2004 Troy University student receives athletic training scholarship Brandon Esco, a Troy University student from Prattville , is one of two undergraduate students to receive an Alabama Athletic Trainers Association Scholarship for 2004. Esco, a senior majoring in athletic training, will receive the $1,000 award at the organization's annual Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, May 22. The winners were selected by a three-person committee consisting of members of the Alabama Athletic Trainers Association. Criteria for selection included scholarship, character and athletic training abilities. “Brandon is an excellent student, and his attention to detail was one of the reasons the committee chose him,” John Anderson, Chair of the Department of Athletic Training, said. “He is meticulous in the training room and he maintains a high GPA in the classroom.” Esco, the son of Donna Esco, is a Trojan Ambassador and a
member of the Athletic Training Club and Sigma Chi social fraternity, where he
currently serves as scholarship chairman. |
