Troy University Students Win 15 Awards at State PRCA Competition
   

Students in Troy University ’s Hall School of Journalism recently won 15 awards at the state Public Relation Council of Alabama conference.
   Of the awards, six are first place (Medallion Award), three are second (Awards of Excellence), five are third (Certificates of Merit) and one is Best in Show.
   PRCA is Alabama ’s largest organization of public relations practitioners and communicators.  It is the state’s longest operating and largest group of public relations practitioners.
   “This is a very competitive award program, and students’ work must be exceptional in order to win,” said Donna Clark Schubert, assistant professor of journalism and public relations. “I am proud that the PRCA has recognized this wonderful work.”
   Award Winners are:
   

  • Sarah Spencer of Enterprise- Two Medallion Awards, Best of Show, Certificate of Merit
  • Danielle Brown of Daphne- Medallion Award, Certificate of Merit
  • Ashley Fowler of Oneonta- Medallion Award
  • Katie Johnston of Eclectic- 2 Medallion Awards
  • Rachel Crook of Montgomery- Award of Excellence, Certificate of Merit
  • Danielle Carver of Graceville , FL- Award of Excellence
  • Bethany Dye of Elba- Certificate of Merit
