Brigadier General Edward F. Crowell to speak at Troy University
   Troy University alumnus Brigadier General Edward F. Crowell will speak at Sorrell College of Business’s annual Distinguished Speaker Series on Oct.14 at 10 a.m. in the Trojan Center Theatre.
   This event is designed to expose Troy University students to a broad range of outstanding business leaders.  Past speakers include Patricia Barnes, founder of Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls; Dr. Vance D. Coffman, CEO of Lockheed Martin; Michel Landel, CEO of Sodexho and Steve McMillan, CEO of Sara Lee.
   Brigadier General Crowell earned a masters of business administration from Troy University in 2002.
   Crowell is currently the mobilization assistant to the commander of Second Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi .
   Crowell was commissioned in 1994 and assigned to the 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell AFB.  While maintaining civilian employment, Crowell has served a number of short tours of active duty in the Air Force Reserve command.
   Crowell’s awards include a Meritorious Medal, an Air Force Commendation Medal and an Air Force National Defense Service Medal.
   Admission to the Distinguished Speaker Series is free to the public.
