Alabama
residents who want to start their own businesses—or achieve the next level of business success—will have the opportunity to receive specialized training through a program that will begin Tuesday, May 3, in
Enterprise
.
The program—NxLeveL Business Planning Series— is sponsored by the Troy University Small Business Development Center (TROY-SBDC), the Enterprise Area Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise, Coffee, Geneva Economic Development Corporation, and the Enterprise Ozark Community College. The TROY-SBDC will be providing this training Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the

The series, now in its sixth year, is provided at a reduced cost of $150 per participant (normally a $500 fee) through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Defense Economic Transition Assistance Program. The $150 fee includes the cost of the textbook, workbook, and resources guide. Training is provided in 10 weekly sessions.
NxLeveL is designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and assist in creating a comprehensive business plan. The course is offered throughout the state by various Small Business Development Centers in conjunction with the Alabama SBDC in partnership with the SBA.
The NxLeveL Business Planning Series is designed to teach the skills needed to create, develop, and strengthen successful business ventures -- the philosophy is “learn it tonight – use it tomorrow”. The program addresses the special needs of entrepreneurs by providing a practical, hands-on and common sense approach to developing their business.
The NxLeveL Business Planning Series was developed by the Western Entrepreneurial Network at the
University
of
Colorado
at
Denver
under a grant from the US WEST Foundation. The training materials and curriculum are based on the feedback from entrepreneurs in 36 states who have taken entrepreneurial training courses over the past several years.
