Troy
University
students will get “psyched out” during a psychology conference that will include a round of “Psychology Jeopardy.”
The conference, scheduled from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, will incorporate psychology, counseling and related majors from each of University’s
Alabama
campuses.
The first hours of the event will give faculty and students the opportunity to present research they have been working on this year.
Following the research presentation, Dr. Chris Randall, an associate professor of psychology on the
Montgomery
campus, will give a presentation entitled “It’s not all about us.”
Named a Chancellor’s Fellow in 2001, Randall has been with the University for seven years, six of which has been as chairman of the psychology department. He earned his doctorate in experimental psychology with a concentration of behavioral and neural studies from the
University
of
Kentucky
in 1995.
The last informative session of the conference will be a poster session. This will allow research to be presented in a visual format, including drug-awareness topics.
The final phase of the conference will be “Psychology Jeopardy.” Students enrolled in the psychology program will have a chance to win cash prizes in the traditional Jeopardy format.
In addition to its main campus in
Troy
