MONTGOMERY –Lamar P. Higgins will deliver the graduation address at Troy University’s spring commencement on Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts on the University’s Montgomery Campus.
Mr. Higgins grew up in Marbury, Alabama, and is a graduate of Troy University. While a student at TROY, he was elected president of the student body and served as the student representative on the Board of Trustees. He is now a member of the Board of Trustees at Troy University. Since 1995, Mr. Higgins has been employed with Fine, Geddie & Associates.
After graduating from Troy University, Higgins joined the Governor’s staff as Legislative Assistant where he coordinated departmental legislation among other duties. He continued his career at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, serving as an Assistant to the Director and Assistant Director for the Human Resources Department. He later served as the Equal Employment Officer for the City of Huntsville, Alabama, and Assistant Director of the Alabama Department of Economic & Community Affairs (ADECA).
The University will confer 241 academic degrees at the commencement, which will be held at the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts. |
