Troy – Troy University ’s Music Department invites the public to a bring an old-fashioned picnic supper to the Sound of the South concert at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21 in the amphitheatre.

The Sound of the South Concert Band is formed primarily from the numerous playing members of the Sound of the South Marching Band and is aimed at providing the wind and percussion students with the finest in literature and performance standards for this medium. This ensemble is designed to serve as both a music laboratory and a performing ensemble at near to professional standards as possible.   

The concert will feature guest conductor Dr. William Denison.
