Alabama Institute for Sports and Fitness Management hosts softball tournament

TROY -- The Alabama Institute for Sport and Fitness Management will host a softball challenge at the Troy Sportsplex on Saturday, July 16 beginning at 9 a.m.

 “This is just one of the activities that the Institute holds for law enforcement and public safety officials,” said Dr. Jason Lee, the Institute’s executive director. “We host conferences and guest lecture series, but this is one of the more fun events we have planned.”

The tournament is open to teams who are involved in law enforcement or public safety. An entry fee of $121 per team will be charged and the deadline to register teams is 5 p.m. Friday, July 8.

Lee said there is no admission fee to view the games, and that the public is invited to attend.
