is among the nation’s top 10 universities for delivery of two human resources professional certification programs offered on its Fort Benning/Columbus campus.
The Society of Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Certification Institute recognized the University during the SHRM 11th Annual Coordinators Conference for its implementation of the SHRM Learning System.

The continuing education and certificate programs offer the human resource professional a chance to enrich knowledge in the human resources field and offers both Professional Human Resource and Senior Professional Human Resource certification.
Troy
University
offers the
PHR
/SPHR Exam Prep Course utilizing the SHRM Learning System in a variety of formats to fit the various needs of the University’s client base. The 12-week course is offered online, as well as in the classroom in weekly and weekend formats. Students taking this course are preparing to sit for the certification exam, which tests the SHRM Body of Knowledge in a four-hour, 225-question exam. There is a national 67 percent pass rate on the PHR, and a 59 percent pass rate on the SPHR exam, indicating the difficulty level of these exams.
Also offered at the Fort Benning/Columbus campus campus is SHRM’s Essentials in Human Resource Management certificate program. This is a 15-hour course covering basic knowledge in the human resources field to entry-level professionals, supervisors, managers, small business owners and non-HR professionals.
