Troy University to hold Senior World Spring Conference on Dothan Campus
   

DOTHAN, Ala. – Troy University will play host to theSenior World Spring Conference Friday, April 1 on the Dothan Campus. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held in Sony Hall in the Library Technology Building.

The theme of the event is “Building Blocks for the Future of Redirectment, Formerly Known as Retirement.”

Senior World was developed on the University’s Dothan Campus for people over the age of 50, who have the desire to continue learning and enjoy the atmosphere of an institution of higher learning. The Senior World Council of Dothan plans and provides educational and social activities for area seniors.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend three sessions throughout the day, choosing from topics including “Avoiding Identity Theft,” “The World of Computers,” “Legal Matters Surrounding Estates,” “Horticulture” and “Using a Digital Camera.”

Local businesses also will be on hand with exhibits. Each participant will receive special Continuing Education Center money that can be used to purchase items at an auction, which will conclude the day’s activities.

Pre-registration for the event, which is co-sponsored by Sonic Drive-In Restaurants, is $10. Space permitting, registration at the door will be $15. For further information or to register, contact the Continuing Education Center at 334-983-0005.
