International students at
Troy
University
are offering area residents the opportunity to take a trip “Around the World in an Evening.”
The University’s International Students Cultural Organization will hold its 23rd annual international festival on Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Trojan Center Ballrooms on the Troy Campus.
Participants will have the opportunity to sample native cuisine prepared by
TROY
students and will be treated to a evening of entertainment, including a martial arts exhibition and a performance of a traditional Indian dance. Another highlight of the event is the annual “Parade of Nations,” showcasing traditional clothing from various countries, including
Germany
,
Spain
,
China
,
India
,
Kenya
and
Nepal
. Students from as many as 20 different countries are expected to participate.
Tickets are $8 for students and $13 for adults and are available through the University’s Center for International Programs at 334-670-3335.
