University Brown Bag Luncheon to focus on special education

New special education standards
will be the focus of the Troy University College of Education’s
Brown Bag Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, March 4. The luncheon is
set for noon in the second floor lounge area of the
Trojan
Center
on the Troy Campus.
Crystal Richardson of the Alabama Department
of Education’s Special Education Services will speak on IDEA
2004, the new rules and standards for special education.
The monthly series is designed for educators
and students majoring in education to meet in an informal setting
to share ideas and discuss trends in education, according to Dr.
Donna Jacobs, dean. Any

student,
faculty or staff member is welcome to attend, as are teachers in
