The Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM)
at
Troy
University
is
seeking participants for its “Carnival of Care” to benefit
tsunami victims. The event, which will take place next to Trojan Arena
on the Troy Campus, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday,
March 12 in conjunction with the University’s Irish Week activities.
The carnival will feature various games and
activities for children, in addition to a bake sale and silent
auction, according to Karen Butler, an organizer of the event.
Booth space is available for $15, and items for use in the bake
sale and silent auction also are being sought. Appropriate booths
would feature any family-oriented games and activities or homemade
or organizational items for sale.
Admission to the carnival is free. All proceeds
coming from the rental of booth space or the sale of bake sale
and silent auction items will be given through the International
Mission Board with 100 percent of the donation going directly to
assist victims of the tsunami. More information about the International
