– Dr. Susan Aldridge, vice chancellor of

and the University’s eCampus, has been tapped by the Department of Defense to co-chair a national DOD Distance Learning Task Force.
The task force will establish the quality standards which universities will be required to meet in order to offer courses to military personnel in the future, according to Gary Woods, director of educational opportunities for the Defense Department.

TROY
has a long-standing relationship with the military, providing courses and degree programs through its
University
College
division on military bases worldwide and providing distance learning opportunities through eCampus, the University’s on-line academic campus.
The task force is expected to conclude its work by June 2006.
