Alabama's Top Chamber Leader to Speak at TROY Commencement Exercises in Dothan
   

DOTHAN - Ralph Stacy, president and chief executive officer of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, will be the keynote speaker at Troy University’s Fall 2005 Commencement Exercises in Dothan. Approximately 275 students are expected to receive diplomas during the December 14th ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Dothan Civic Center.

In his role with the Chamber, Stacy represents over 120 Chambers of Commerce statewide and their nearly 60,000 business members. He currently holds the professional designation of Certified Association Executive, as issued by the American Society of Association Executives.

The Greenville resident is also a published author, syndicated columnist and co-host of the syndicated “Camellia Communications Scoreboard Show.” In addition, he serves as a bi-vocational Independent Methodist minister.

Stacy has been selected as a member of the Class of 2006 for Leadership Alabama. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Council of Alabama and the Alabama Council of Association Executives. He is also a governor’s appointee to the Alabama Partnership for Children and a founding partner of the Alabama Community of Excellence Program.

A graduate of Huntingdon College, Stacy also attended graduate school at the College of Charleston and the University of Notre Dame.

He and his wife Angel have a special connection to Troy University. Their daughter, Savannah, is a Millennium Scholar freshman at TROY.
