Experience the Sounds of the Season on Dec. 6

TROY – The holiday spirit comes alive at Troy University at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 as the J.M. Long School of Music presents its Sounds of the Season: Voices and Brass holiday concert in the Claudia Crosby Theatre.

The evening features performances by the Collegiate Singers, Chamber Choir, Dazzlers! Show Choir, Gospel Singers, Women's Madrigals, Trumpet Ensemble and the Brass Quintet.

Featured solos include "O Holy Night" and "O Lord Most Holy." Ageless carols will include “Deck the Halls,”  “Hark! the Herald” and  “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”

Other holiday favorites will include “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” Louis Armstrong's “Cool Yule,” “Santa Baby,” “Silver and Gold,” and “It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

"This concert has become a holiday tradition not only for the campus family, but the community as well, ushering in the season together in song," said Director of Choral Activities Paul McGahie.  "This is a feast of holiday music you won't want to miss."

Afterwards, everyone is welcome to stay for hot cocoa.  Candy canes will be given out to the children.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5. Students are admitted free.
