Homecoming festivities highlight week at Troy University

TROY Various festivities highlight the week as Troy University prepares to celebrate homecoming.

Campus organizations compete in different events throughout the week to earn points toward “winning” homecoming, said Melodye Redding, Student Government Association homecoming director.

On Monday, Oct. 31, The Trojan Stomp-Dance Competition and the Super Fan Competition will take place in Claudia Crosby Theatre, beginning at 7 p.m.

On Nov. 1, a grill out will be held on the Quad from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m, and the Troy Gospel Singers will present a concert at 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theatre.Gospel Singers will present a concert at 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theatre.

On Nov. 2, skit night will be held at 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theatre.

On Nov. 4, a pep rally will begin at 6 p.m. on Sorority Hill, followed at 7 p.m. by a concert featuring Phil Vassar in Veterans Memorial Movie Gallery Stadium.

On Nov. 5, the annual homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. and process through downtown Troy . Homecoming festivities will begin at 2 p.m. in the stadium with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff against Florida Atlantic University .
