TROY will host Alabama Law Update 2005

DOTHAN - The Troy University Continuing Education Center will host Alabama Law Update 2005, an educational two-part program examining changes in the law. Legal professionals are encouraged to attend the seminars, which will be held November 4 and December 9 on the Dothan Campus.

Alabama Law Update 2005 will provide the latest information on topics including the death tax, ethics, Vioxx litigation and criminal law. Health care law, corporations and limited liability companies will also be discussed.

Montgomery Attorney Jere L. Beasley, senior member of the firm Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., is the featured speaker for the first session. Beasley has practiced law as an advocate for victims of wrongdoing since 1962. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases and has been profiled in both Time Magazine and Business Week.

Guest speakers will also include Judge Eugene Raymond Verin and attorneys Clayton Davis, Alva M. Lambert, Jean Marie Leslie, J. Anthony McLain, Allen Mitchell, Nick Shimoda and Tom Sorrells.

Participants can earn up to 6 CLE credit hours for each of the one-day seminars. To register, or for more information, contact the Continuing Education Center at (334) 983-0005.
