TROY- Troy University will host the annual Miss Troy University Pageant Sunday, November 20, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Adams Center Theatre.

The Miss Troy Univeristy Pageant is open to all Troy University students between the ages of 17 and 24 and who are a full-time, female students at any of Troy University's Alabama campuses, said Brenda Campbell, who helps coordinate the pageant.

“This is an official Miss Alabama/Miss America Preliminary in which the contestant will compete in six categories: private interview, casual wear, swimsuit, talent, evening wear, and on-stage question,” Campbell said.

The winner of the Miss Troy University Pageant will receive numerous prizes including a one-year tuition scholarship and represent Troy University in the Miss Alabama Pageant in Birmingham.

"The deadline for contestant applications is October 20 and is limited to the first 20 complete applications," said Campbell.
