Gifted Houston County Students Study at Troy University

DOTHAN – Troy University Archivist Martin Olliff inspects a piece of Wiregrass history with eighth graders Evan Smith (left) and Bowen Rowell of Wicksburg High School and seventh grader Timmera Whaley of Ashford. Several hundred gifted students from Houston County schools recently toured the Archives of Wiregrass History and Culture on the Dothan Campus. They also participated in seminars on creative writing and art. The students plan to publish a book.
