will mark the opening of the choral season with the Choral Kaleidoscope Concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in Claudia Crosby Theatre.
“It is called the Kaleidoscope Concert because it features an array of songs from different vocal groups,” said Paul McGahie, assistant professor of music and director of choral music.
All six vocal ensembles will participate which includes; Collegiate Singers, Chamber Choir, Gospel Singers, Women’s Madrigals, Dazzlers! Show Choir, and the Opera Ensemble, said McGahie.
Some of the songs to be performed are; “The Mouse Madrigal,” “Ol' Dan Tucker,” “Three Little Maids from School” from Mikado, “Guys and Dolls,” “Camptown Races,” “Awake the Harp!” and many more, McGahie said.
Admission to the concert is free.
“This is a family concert and all are welcome,” said McGahie.
