TROY – Troy University’s Sound of the South Concert Band will present its annual spring concert at 6 p.m. April 20 in the Amphitheater adjacent to the Adams Center.
The evening’s entertainment will include a variety of musical styles from traditional British band music to “Big Band” tunes. Under the direction of Raymond H. Smith, more than 80 musicians will participate in the concert. Guest conductors include Dr. Larry Blocher, newly appointed director of the John M. Long School of Music and Director of Bands Ralph Ford.
The event is free and open to the public. Concert goers are free to bring lawn chairs and picnic dinners to the concert.
