TROY plays host to Alumni workshop
   

More than 20 TROY alumni returned to campus last Saturday for a Chapter Leadership Conference that featured informational sessions on topics ranging from athletics to music to enrollment management.

Participants also received a tour of the University Bookstore and heard from manager Shawn Janelle about Barnes and Noble’s plan for expanding and improving the bookstore. After the conference, attendees enjoyed a barbecue dinner prior to a basketball doubleheader at Trojan Arena. Earlier in the day, the group heard from Don Maestri and Mike Murphy, head coaches of the TROY men’s and women’s teams.

Ralph Ford, director of bands, Steve Dennis, athletics director and Heather Owen, coordinator of recruitment and special events for the office of admissions, also spoke at the conference.

Members of the national alumni board attending were Sammy Carr, Mickey Crew and Jerry Williams.
