MEDIA ADVISORY- 121 Program availabilities for Feb. 15
   

EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: Troy University is hosting a 19-member delegation of education officials from the People’s Republic of China Feb. 14 – Feb. 16. The members of this delegation will be assessing the University’s 1-2-1 Program, which brings international students to TROY for two years. Upon completion of the students’ degrees at the home university, a diploma is awarded both from the home Chinese institution and from Troy University.

This program, developed and pioneered by TROY, has become a national model for international joint-degree programs in the United States.

On Wed., Feb. 15, the delegation will attend a special 1-2-1 convocation at 10 a.m. in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor on the Troy Campus.

Dr. Hawkins, students and the delegation members will be available after the convocation for interview if you desire.

The day also includes a tour of the City of Troy and the campus and briefings with Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Ed Roach, and Senior Vice Chancellor John Schmidt. A walking tour of the campus will be conduced during the afternoon and a meeting with students, that includes a program presentation and student presentations will take place from 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the new General Academic Building.
