ISCO Festival slated for Saturday

International students at Troy University are offering area residents the opportunity to take a trip “Around the World in an Evening.”

The University’s International Students Cultural Organization will hold its 24th annual international festival on Saturday, March 4 in the Trojan Center Ballrooms on the Troy Campus.

Participants will have the opportunity to sample native cuisine prepared by TROY students and will be treated to an evening of entertainment, traditional and contemporary songs from various nations, the “Kenyan Dance” and the “Parade of Nations,” showcasing traditional clothing from various countries.

Among food offerings will be fair from Korea, Nepal, China, Kenya and Turkmenistan.

“Many continents will be represented,” said Dr. Scott Nokes, ISCO’s advisor. “The festival is fun way to spend the evening.”

Tickets are $8 for students and $13 for adults and are available through the University’s Center for International Programs at 334-670-3335.

Students from 60 nations are enrolled at Troy University.
