Pippin, son of King Charlemagne, is looking for a life of his own. He becomes a soldier in his father’s army but soon realizes that he dislikes war. Pippin is upset that his father is killing thousands in war and murders him. Pippin, now king, looks around for different careers.
Like most young people, he experiments with many different “adventures” in order to find out his true meaning in life. On his journey, he falls madly in love with a woman—Catherine—but doesn’t know if love is for him. Eventually, Pippin winds up right where he started and realizes that what he was looking for was there all along.
