Teachers' Assistance Center at Troy University Offers Free Seminars and Resources for Educators

DOTHAN -During a professional development seminar at Troy University, National Board Certified Teacher Ashley Harper of Dothan (right) discusses the National Board Certification process with TROY Alternative A Secondary Education Math Major Windy Farmer of Dothan. Each month the Teachers’ Assistance Center, which is located on the Dothan Campus, presents free professional development seminars on a variety of topics for in-service and pre-service teachers.

Troy University Education Majors Robyn Freeman of Dothan (left), Carol Brown of Geneva and Phillip Shutt of Dothan make use of resources available through the Teachers’ Assistance Center at Troy University. Since 2002, the Center, which is located on the Dothan Campus in room 409 of Adams Hall, has helped provide area K-12 teachers and education students with materials to meet the needs of diverse learners in the general education classroom. In the future, the Center plans to expand resources for Secondary Education teachers in general and special education.
