July 24, 2006 Troy University Students to Auction Antiques DOTHAN – Going once, going twice. Hundreds of items will go up for bid on the auction block Saturday, August 5, as part of the Troy University Auctioneer School’s semi-annual antique auction. The event begins at 10 a.m. at the old Heart & Home Store, located behind Po’ Folks Restaurant on Ross Clark Circle in Dothan. As part of their final graduation requirement, the students will auction off a variety of items ranging from a 19th Century shaving mirror and a Persian Rug to an antique walnut desk, an old oak game table and a Victorian twin bed. The auction is open to the public, and there is no admission fee.
