MEDIA ADVISORY- Events at Troy University, Trustees, Troy King
   

EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: The Troy University Board of Trustees will be meeting at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2006, in the Civic Room of the Montgomery Campus. The Board is expected to take up five resolutions during its business session: the Troy University Strategic Plan 2005-2010; Student Housing and Housing-Related Facilities; Troy University Website Policy: ePolicy; a new staff handbook; and the Athletics Strategic Plan.

On Thursday, March 9, 2006, beginning at 3:30 p.m., the University will host its “leadership retreat” that will include presentations from various University divisions updating the status of the University for the trustees and guests. This meeting reconvenes at 8:30 a.m. Friday and ends at noon.

Also, the University’s Irish Week festivities kick off on Friday, March 10.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 12 noon on Saturday. A complete list of activities is copied below.

Alabama Attorney General Troy King will be honored with the University’s Distinguished Leadership Award at 5:30 P.M. Saturday at the Reunion Dinner.
