DOTHAN – The fourth annual Larry Blakeney Troy University Football Camp is scheduled for Thursday, June 8 on the Dothan Campus. Boys and girls ages six to thirteen are invited to participate.
During the one-day camp, Troy University Head Football Coach Larry Blakeney and his coaching staff will help participants improve in areas including running, passing, pass protection and zone coverage.
“We will emphasize our speed program, which basically teaches the camper fundamentals of running more efficiently,” Blakeney said. “The speed program is one which the athlete can take home and continue for further speed improvements.”
The morning session, which is designed for students in 1st through 4th grades, runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session, which is for those in 5th through 8th grades, is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The camp is sponsored by the alumni association, Dairy Fresh, CenturyTel, Photorama, Durden Outdoor, Pig Out Bar-B-Que, Emerald Coast RV Center, AmSouth, Dothan Leisure Services, Wiregrass Termite & Pest Control, ScreenTech, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn, Dothan Eagle, SportsTalk AM 560 WOOF “The Ball” and WOOF FM.
