Miss Teen Trojan Pageant to be held Nov. 11 at TROY
   

EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: THIS IS A CORRECTION TO REFLECT THE DATE OF THE APPLICATION DEADLINE, NOV. 1, 2006. WE INCORRECTLY REPORTED THE DEADLINE AS NOV. 11 IN YESTERDAY’S RELEASE.

TROY-Girls from ages 13-17 will compete for the Miss Teen Trojan title on Nov. 11. in Troy University’s Claudia Crosby Theater beginning at 2 p.m.

Miss Teen Trojan will move forward to compete in Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Pageant, which is a division of the Miss America Pageant system.  To enter, contestants may be 17 and a high school junior, but not a senior by the Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Pageant date of March 3.

Other competition divisions open to Alabama residents include:

Baby Miss (Birth-2 yrs old)

  • Tiny Miss (3-4 yrs old)
  • Little Miss (5-6 yrs old)
  • Miss Rising Star (7-9 yrs old)
  • Miss Shining Star (10-12 yrs old)

Miss Rising Star will accompany Miss Troy University onstage at the Miss Alabama Pageant in June.

Brenda Campbell, co-director of the event, said this pageant is an excellent fundraiser for the Miss Troy University Pageant. 

“It’s also a good way to show off your babies and children,” she said.
