Senior World to Host Fall 2006 Conference at Troy University

DOTHAN – The Senior World Group of Dothan is now registering participants for the Senior World Fall 2006 Conference at Troy University. The one-day event, which is designed for area residents over the age of 50, is schedule for Friday, October 6 at the Dothan Campus.

During the conference’s general session, Lt. Don Valenza, Houston County Sheriff’s Office criminal investigations division commander, will share information about crime scene investigation techniques. Break out sessions will cover topics including legal matters, healthy eating, computer basics and post 9-11 travel. Participants can also choose from sessions on digital cameras, decorating, football and horticulture.

The Senior World program was developed on the Dothan Campus to promote continued learning. The group also provides seniors with opportunities to socialize.

To sign up for the conference, contact the Troy University Continuing Education Center at (334) 983-0005. Prior to September 24, the cost to register is $10. After that date, registration is $15. Lunch will be provided courtesy of Outback Steakhouse. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
