Montgomery metro alumni chapter of Troy University to hold second annual golf classic
   

Montgomery, AL – The Montgomery Metro Alumni Chapter of Troy University will sponsor its Second Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, April 23, at Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery.

With Golf for Scholarships as the theme, the tournament will be a four-person scramble with averaged handicaps.  Registration and lunch will begin at 12 noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.  The entry fee is $90 per player, $360 per team, and is open to the public. The entry fee includes green fees, golf cart, range balls as well as lunch.  Teams are encouraged to participate.


Awards will be presented at the end of the tournament to each player.  Awards include an assortment of door prizes, a closest to the hole contest, a longest-drive contest for both men and women, and opportunities to win one of four hole-in-one prizes, including a chance to win a $10,000 cash prize.

The Montgomery Metro Alumni Chapter of Troy University is committed to assisting students obtain their degrees by awarding scholarships during their annual Golf Classic. Six scholarships were awarded during the 2006 tournament to deserving students. The Chapter will continue this tradition of awarding scholarships for 2007 at their annual meeting at the end of the tournament.
