TROY students earn sports medicine scholarships

TROY—Two Troy University athletic training students have been awarded scholarships from the American Sports Medicine Institute for 2007-2008.

Mallory Cescutti and Brittany Desotell will receive the scholarship from the Birmingham-based American Sports Medicine Institute in January.

Cescutti, from Trussville, maintains a 3.5 grade- point average and is a member of the Athletic Training Club and the Iota Tau Alpha Honor Sociey. Cescutti has been nominated for Outstanding Freshmen and Who's Who.

Desotell, from Satsuma, has a 3.85 grade- point average and is the recipient of the James A. Whiteside Scholarship. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Tau Omega, the Dean's List and Chancellor's List.
