November 13, 2007 Fall honors recitals set for Wednesday TROY – Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music is hosting the Troy University Fall Honors Recital at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Hawkins-Adams-Long Hall of Honor. The biennial formal concert features outstanding individual performers who have successfully completed an audition before a panel of Troy University music faculty, according to Dr. Jim Zingara, associate professor of music. Those auditions are held just a week prior to the concert, he said. This fall’s recital features six students: Daniel Arute (trumpet), a sophomore music education major from Dothan, Josh Battè (euphonium), a sophomore general music major from Panama City, Fla., La’Roy Bodiford (alto saxophone), a junior music education major from Luverne, Scott Sexton (piano), a junior music education major from Troy, Ashley Swenning (flute), a senior music education major from Marbury, and Adrian Smith (baritone), a junior music education major from Montgomery.
