TROY -- The 37th Annual Miss Troy University Pageant, a Miss Alabama Preliminary, will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Claudia Crosby Theater.
This year, 18 contestants will be judged on interview, answering an on-stage question, swimsuit, talent and evening wear.
Participating in this year’s contest is:
Jessica Kelley, a freshman from Andalusia, whose talent is dance and platform is “Discovering the Secret to a Happy Life.” She is sponsored in the pageant by the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
Kathryn Hobgood, a sophomore from Semmes, whose talent is lyrical dance and platform is “Domestic Abuse.” She is sponsored in the pageant by friends and family.
Kelly Barker, a junior from Moody, whose talent is dance and platform is “VERB, It's what you do.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Alpha Delta Pi.
Morgan Deramus, a freshman from Prattville, whose talent is vocal and platform is “A Literate Alabama.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Bethlehem CME Church.
Laura Cobb, a freshman from Prattville, whose talent is Can-Can dance and platform is “Reviving Manners in Our Modern World.” She is sponsored in the pageant by the Troy Wesley Foundation.
Tyler Looney, a junior from Sylacauga, whose talent is vocal and platform is “Passion for Pets.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her parents.
Kayla Whitehead, a sophomore from Cottonwood, whose talent is dance/twirl and platform is “Nurturing America's Youth - One Child at a Time.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her parents and Phi Mu sorority.
Morgan Rhodes, a sophomore from Troy, whose talent is piano/vocal and platform is “Students for Organ Donation.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Hook's Barbeque.
Kaetlin Hall, a senior from Niceville, Fla., whose talent is vocal and platform is “CMN: Love, Laugh, Save Lives.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Phi Mu sorority.
Nikita Patrick, a freshman from Dothan, whose talent is vocal and platform is “How Important are Our Children to Us.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her family and friends.
Jennifer Sewell, a junior from Cottonwood, whose talent is jazz dance and platform is “Working with Special Citizens.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Kappa Delta sorority.
Katy Paul, a junior from Robertsdale, whose talent is ballet/lyrical dance and platform is “Juvenile Diabetes Awareness.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
Amber Dodson, a senior from Cullman, whose talent is a baton routine and platform is “GOLD - Gift of Life Donation.” She is sponsored in the pageant by the Student Nurses Association.
Megan Picklesimer, a freshman from Chelsea, whose talent is dance and platform is “Promoting Tolerance & Understanding in Diversified Schools.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her family and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
Summer Hovey, a junior from Dothan, whose talent is jazz dance and platform is “Preventing Underage Drinking.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her family.
Allison Farrington, a junior from Andalusia, whose talent is vocal and platform is “Changing the Lives of Children - Reading.” She is sponsored in the pageant by her parents and Phi Mu sorority.

Caitlyn Wade, a freshman from Sylacauga, whose talent is vocal and platform is “End the Silence: Raise Your Vote.” She is sponsored in the pageant by Chi Omega sorority.
Prior to Sunday’s pageant, the Miss Teen Trojan Pageant, a Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Preliminary, will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 17 in Claudia Crosby Theater for Alabama residents age birth through high school juniors.
