TROY- Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business has named Dr. Kaye Sheridan director of its School of Accounting.

“Troy University is very fortunate to attract Dr. Sheridan to the Sorrell College.  Her unique academic qualification and her close working relationship to the profession will be an asset to our students,” said Dr. Don Hines, dean of the Sorrell College of Business.
 
Sheridan completed the doctor of business administration degree in accounting at Mississippi State University in 1998 and holds a master of tax accounting from the University of Alabama. She earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from Auburn University.
 
“I am very excited about the opportunity to lead such an outstanding accounting program,” said Sheridan.  “I will strive to continue the tradition of excellence in accounting education that has been the standard of Troy University’s School of Accountancy.”

Sheridan has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1983 and has previously taught at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Mississippi State University, LaGrange College, and Mobile University.
