Board of Trustees Meeting

May 1: The Troy University Board of Trustees will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Trojan Center Ballroom B. During this meeting the Board will take up seven resolutions:

• Proposed Nomenclature Changes
• Amending Faculty Handbook
• An Honorary Doctorate
• Property Transfer from Troy University Foundation
• Changing Tuition and Fee Structure
• Building Beyond Boundaries
• Arena
• Honoring the SGA President
• Commending Retirees

Prior to the Board meeting, the Finance Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m.

Planned Giving Conference

May 2: The Troy University Office of Development is sponsoring Planned Giving 101, a professional development seminar for tax, legal and estate planning professionals. The seminar will be from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 2 in the Trojan Center Ballrooms on the Troy Campus.

Commencement on the Troy Campus

May 9: Troy University will conduct commencement exercises on the Troy Campus at 10:30 a.m. in Sartain Hall. Media covering this event should be in place no later than 10 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Mr. Bill Canary, president and chief executive officer of the Business Council of Alabama. Prior to Mr. Canary’s role at BCA, he was president and chief executive officer of the American Trucking Association in Washington, D.C.
