Radio and Television Open House, Odyssey Convocation, First Day of Classes and Student Success Center open house
Radio and Television Open House
Aug. 8: Troy University’s Department of Radio and Television is hosting an open house from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in its newly renovated offices on the first floor of Wallace Hall.
Odyssey Convocation is Sunday
Aug. 10: Troy University’s Odyssey New Student Convocation will begin at 3 p.m. Trojan Arena and will feature an address by Chancellor Jack Hawkins Jr. and the lighting of the Odyssey Flame. The keynote speaker is Dr. Ted Leichner, a TROY alumnus and Tennessee doctor who joined the Army National Guard out of personal convictions and patriotism. First Day of Classes
Aug. 13: The first day of classes on the Troy Campus. The first day of classes on Montgomery, Phenix City and Dothan Campuses is Monday, Aug. 11.
Student Success Center open house
Aug. 20: Troy University’s Student Success Center, located in Eldridge Hall, will have an open house from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. The mission of the Center for Student Success is to provide programs and services that enhance Troy University students’ academic achievement, personal and social growth, campus and civic engagement, career development, and persistence to graduation. Tutoring is available in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, English language and composition, career development, study skills, and computer usage related to class assignments. Academic counseling and adaptive needs resources and staff are provided as well. A first-year testing program and TRIO, which includes Upward Bound and Student Support Services, is also housed in the Center.
